Yesterday, I focused on the theocratic elements of Project 2025. But those elements–horrific as they are–pale in comparison to several of the Project’s less-often-noted aspirations.
A cousin of mine participates in a study group that recently assembled a list of the proposals in Project 2025. He shared that document with me, and I am posting it in its entirety today. It displays a worldview that isn’t simply backward–it’s terrifying and dystopian. Anti-science. Anti-equality. Anti-American.
Allow me to share that (unedited) compendium of crazy with you–and remind you that this is the world we’ll get if the GOP prevails.
PROJECT 2025
• 100+ conservative think tanks involved
• 400+ contributors and writers
• 240 Trump former administrators among authors

• Ukrainian refugee status reviewed
• Roll back gay rights/invalidate homosexual marriage

Principles Guiding Climate Decisions
• The climate is not changing and not to be taught
• Eliminate climate and environmental protections
• Eliminate greenhouse gas regulation
• Defund FEMA & EPA. Emergencies are a state responsibility.
• Dismantle NOAA and Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research, halt climate research.
• End Global Change Research Act of 1990. \
• Withdraw from the Paris Accords.
• Stop EV research, regulation, and tax initiatives
If this doesn’t motivate you to vote–and vote BLUE–I don’t know what will.

I was going to comment on these bad actors protecting children with more ar-15s in the hands of school shooters. Than I got to the part about eliminating FEMA & EPA. Many of trump’s supporters come from states to poor to protect them. Trump was serious when he said he doesn’t care if they die, as long as they vote for him first

The list reminded me to take down from a bookshelf, the book “Surviving Autocracy,” by Masha Gessen. It clearly is time to read it again.
It’s hard to condemn this list of horrors strongly enough. Several of the points contradict themselves (surprise, surprise) and many more are simply uncivilized. The 2025 Manifesto will become part of the history of our failed democracy, written and enacted by power-mad idiots thinking control over the world is the way humans will spend their last days. P-2025 is the detonator to the coming nuclear holocaust. Keep that in mind when you vote in November.
In all of that mishmash I did spot one thing that might not be terrible. That is the idea to have all public schools give the military entrance exam. I don’t know if the test I took as a senior was the entrance exam, but it was brought in by the Air Force. The test revealed what areas were strengths and weaknesses. My lowest score was in mechanical, while my best was in administrative.
So, if you’re a young person asking what you want to be when you grow up, a test like this will help direct your search. Personally I already knew that I didn’t want to be a plumber, but taking the test told me that I would be okay with anything I did. If not, I could always join the Air Force.😁
This is more like the “Billionaire’s Manifesto,” or wishlist, including tidbits for each of their Republican voting blocs. I can definitely see which parts the Hawks in Washington, like Madam Lindsey, are salivating over. Even some Democrats will endorse part of the plan.
I’m not sure that “eliminating Medicaid” is a wise strategy. It might mean lower costs for the Oligarchs, but I can’t imagine what will happen to the poor Red States in this country. Hospitals will be forced to treat the indigent with no repayment, which would be a disaster for nonprofits. Doing away with negotiated drug prices will also backfire, costing Medicare billions or raising taxes for Oligarchs. Screwing over older people and poor people who both vote for Republicans or don’t vote at all would cause a massive turnout for the Democratic Party.
The list is vindictive and poorly thought out. Understandably, Trump wants to distance himself from P-2025. With the idiot loyalists, they’d hire to replace career federal employees, I can only imagine how the government would function once Trump took office, and Vance began hiring Trump’s minions. We’d have plenty to write about daily on this blog. 😉
These are the same idiots who rushed to penalize folks on welfare by forcing them to take drug tests. It cost them millions to save several hundred thousand dollars. Even when the first states saw the negative consequences, other states plowed forward. #idiots

Now consider the possibility that the oligarchs have already realized that Trump is as far gone mentally as Joe Biden, and that they promoted JD Vance to Vice-President with the intention of having him invoke the 25th Amendment as quickly after Jan 20th as possible. Then Vance becomes the implementor of Project 2025. He is only 49, so think about how much damage he can do!
How is that for an unintended consequence of what started out as a good idea (referring to the 25th amendment)?

Trump radicalized several minority cohorts by promising to stand with them. Now that they are following him, he’s learned they are necessary but insufficient to grab his get-out-of-jail-free card, the Presidency. So, he is now promising the center that he stands with them, not those others.
It’s all a house of cards built on lies. We are watching it collapse in slow motion.

And you know what’s really a kick in the pants? The evildoers who came up with this nightmare will always be able to readily access the very things they claim to despise — abortions, pornography, vaccines, birth control, etc.
