It’s no longer possible for any sentient American to deny the virulent racism at the heart of MAGA and the Trump administration. The efforts to characterize DEI as “anti-White,” the dismissal of credentialed and competent Black officials and their replacement with buffoons whose only visible “credential” is White skin, the privileging of White South African immigrants…
Those well-publicized efforts have been joined by other, more covert moves to diminish recognition of the important roles played by minorities in our society–exemplified, most recently, by the removal of memorials to Black WW II soldiers in a Netherlands graveyard.

The move has sparked shock in the Netherlands, with critics of the removal, including a community that cares for the graves, demanding answers about why the black American soldiers have all but vanished from displays.
MAGA’s embrace of bigotry is currently playing out more publicly in debates about Tucker Carlson’s friendly interview with “out” neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes. But even while those internal MAGA battles rage, there’s growing evidence that the Trump administration’s racism and anti-Semitism isn’t simply grist for domestic politics. It’s internationally recognized.
My oldest son recently sent me a link to a story I’d missed.
A prominent far-right German activist has applied for political asylum in the United States, citing fears for her safety, as the Trump administration has signaled plans to prioritize protections for White refugees and Europeans who claim they are being targeted for their populist views.
The activist, Naomi Seibt, is a social media influencer and supporter of the nationalist, anti-immigration Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, which German authorities have labeled extremist.
Seibt is currently living in Washington, D.C., while her application is being processed.
That application is unusual–most candidates for asylum are people fleeing war or repressive regimes. The article notes that this “rare application from a citizen of a wealthy Western democracy” is evidence of the increasingly close ties between Germany’s far right and Trump’s MAGA movement. Seibt is close to Elon Musk and to several Republican lawmakers.
Seibt met on Oct. 30 with Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Florida), who said in a statement that she is “personally assisting” with Seibt’s asylum application and making her case to Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
In 2020, Seibt was the subject of a Washington Post profile highlighting her paid work for a think tank allied with the Trump administration casting doubt on the scientific consensus around climate change.
Seibt asserts that she feels unsafe in Germany, a country that has made speech that incites hatred, threatens public order or attacks human dignity illegal. She contends that police in Germany refused to act on her complaint that she had received death threats. (The German police declined to comment, noting they don’t speak about individual cases.)
The Trump administration is actively positioning itself to be a refuge for racists and neo-Nazis. According to the linked report,
The Trump administration has already granted refuge to dozens of White South Africans who claimed to be persecuted at home.
The administration is contemplating a broader overhaul of the refugee resettlement process to prioritize such Afrikaners at the expense of groups traditionally seen as fleeing danger and persecution. A draft proposal from the State Department also would give consideration to “free speech advocates in Europe,” according to a former U.S. official who had seen the document.
The article quoted Michael Kagan, a professor of immigration law, who observed that It will be interesting to see whether Seibt’s application is scrutinized as rigorously as others, given that the status Seibt seeks is a difficult one to win.
Seibt, however, says she’s optimistic “because my beliefs strongly align with the Trump administration’s.” She’s right–and that observation should ring the alarm bells of every American who believes in human equality. Although the State Department declined to comment on Seibt’s case, a spokesperson for the department was quoted for the statement that the U.S. “supports all Europeans working to defend our common civilizational heritage.”
I’m pretty sure that MAGA’s definition of “our common civilization heritage” would be a good deal more restrictive than mine…
And there we are.
The difference between the Trump/MAGA vision of America and that held by the rest of us is the essential fault-line between today’s GOP cult of White Christian nationalists and the majority of Americans who accept (and even celebrate) the diversity of our multi-ethnic, multi-racial society.
The Trump administration wants to remake America into a fascist haven for neo-Nazis. We absolutely cannot allow that to happen.

Sometimes it takes an illness to remind us of the work it takes to be healthy…..and to get that way again.
It has been glaringly obvious that the aim of Trump and his MAGAs is to turn this nation to Apartheid rule. Consider only his creation of DOGE and appointment of White African Elon Musk as Director; where are those necessary former QUALIFIED government workers and others fired from vital jobs to keep this nation running as a fully functioning government. Start consideration with his Cabinet and Congress as we see them today. How many Republicans even fully understand what DEI means at its foundation? How many Democrats fully understand and are willing to fight for DEI to be the base of this nation’s foundation and to support democracy, Rule of Law and the Constitution?
I have often posted that the loss for Democrats in the recent elections is caused by their infighting and inability to unite to work out their problems. We may now be seeing hope in the fact that the MAGAs are beginning to infight; unless the Trump/Taylor Greene feud is another Republican lie and a distraction from his killing of Americans and foreigners in his variety of Executive Orders used to rule the UNITED States of America.
His Demolition Derby rule by Executive Orders, which are in reality memos to staff, has been carried to the level of the wrecking ball taken to the East Wing and Rose Garden at our White House. He has accomplished more to destroy this nation in TEN MONTHS than we have accomplished in TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY YEARS. We should be ashamed as we watch this happening but do not see the actualities, not unlike those “good Germans” during and after WWII.

The NAZI makeover is not the least bit subtle. Creatures like Stephen Miller know that their window for completely destroying the rule of law, due process and the Constitution is narrow and it’s starting to close.
The end-game, though, will be if the 75% of the American citizens wake-up to that fact and take back the government from the NAZIs in America.
Before the name was even mentioned, I knew it had Elon Musk all over it since he has been a major supporter of the AfD party in Germany. I’ve never heard of the right-wing influencer mentioned, but if she is pro-Trump, they’ll need all the voices they can muster to overcome what’s coming.
Tucker Carlson has over 10 million followers on his podcast, so when he invited Fuentes into his orbit, it granted Nick an entrée into the Mainstream. That’s why so many people were upset that Tucker embraced an antisemite and a racist on his show. However, if you know what’s coming from the Epstein cache, you’ll understand the move.
Additionally, if you follow Curtis Yarvin, the computer programmer turned “guru” for Peter Thiel, JD Vance, and Steve Bannon, he advocates for eliminating government employees and replacing them with loyalists. He also wants a CEO leader who serves a board of oligarchs. I wonder if they still wish to have Trump as CEO?
I believe Trump’s racism is ingrained since his daddy was a slumlord in New York, so I am sure that was passed along to the “Bubba server.” His mentor, Roy Cohn, was also a racist. His loyalists are all racists.
If Muncie still represents Middle America, even former Democrats have now become MAGAs and send their kids to county schools because they are 90% white.

We love our ability to organize our species into those who are alright and those who are not. Once we’ve done that, life becomes easier and can be played as a drama between antagonists and protagonists, enemies and friends. We can write the script of how we supported our friends and loved ones and punished our imagined enemies.
It is the story of the species played out for 300,000 years, though we thought we saw a trend towards civilized living. Were we wrong?
After Orange Jesus (OJ) imported his victims of South African “terror”, he hosted the President of that country, Cyril Ramaphosa. OJ showed screen shots of Red Cross workers in protective gear moving body bags. He claimed they were evidence of white genocide in South Africa. Mr. Ramaphosa said he wasn’t aware of anything like that happening in his country. It turns out that those. screen shots were from the Congo.
He went on with more pictures and more outrageous claims, none of which were true. Since he has no sense of shame, it’s clear that he won’t say that he was wrong.. He will just move forward to bring more Afrikaners to America.
There couldn’t be clearer evidence of the MAGA plan for a white supremecist nation than that.
I shouldn’t have to say that, if the US (CIA) hadn’t arranged for the overthrow of Patrice Lumina in September, 1960, after only two months of his leadership of the Republic of the Congo, that country might have been a stable presence in Africa. Incidents like the video of the body bags being moved after a conflict in the city of Goma might never have happened.
